"The hotel felt fresh and new throughout. The rooms are well equipped with a fridge, safe and plenty of storage space. The bed was comfortable and I slept well. The bathroom was also new and fitted to a high standard. The reception and bar area were both clean and spacious with a small shop with snacks to buy. The breakfast was a self-service arrangement with a good choice of healthy options. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely book it again if I was visiting Essen. "

"The location is great next to the Starlight Express Theatre which we were visiting. Unfortunately the bar was closed after we’d seen the show although we were able to use the fridge in the lobby. Breakfast was a buffet style and an excellent selection. The room was a good size although the decor was rather dated. Overall we had a good stay."

"Four of us stayed in one room and they gave us “separate” bedrooms since there was a door. Very comfortable. Nice location and easy to walk into the city and the AC works great. You can pay for breakfast in the morning and I recommend it because the fresh spread they provide is amazing."
