"The property is hidden, and a small walk from the main Tembo hotel, but what makes up for it is the wonderful staff. Their friendliness, and willing to assist you at everything. The breakfast menu was amazing, a mix of everything which was very pleasant. The rooms can use alittle bit of an upgrade, and they should probably prohibit photo sessions from people on the streets, as there was alot of flash on the outside (but maybe an exception because of the public holiday). I would definitely stay...

"The hotel is very rustic and feels like it fits within the ambience of Zanzibar. located right on the white sands next to the Indian Ocean with restaurants nearby, that are accessible by walking along the beach. The owners and staff were so welcoming and truly lovely people. The hotel is of a size where you get to know the staff and they know you. Highly recommend it....."

"Nice place to stay, however u can hear the noise from the hallway n next door. I wish they had grab bars near the toilet seat which is quite low. Older people with arthritic knees like me would have problem rising from the seat. Other than that the hotel is very pleasant. "

"If you are on business trip or leisure and you want to be close to city and airport this is ideal location. The rooms are huge and very cozy. All rooms have Sea View and it has number of small boats for rent... like for fishing etc. Over the weekend there is waterpark which comes to life and it is amazing."

The Valentine's night dinner was amazing along with the room decorations. Every detail made the night special for me and my partner. I will never forget it. "

"Staff was friendly and accommodating. Chose the hotel for proximity to airport since I had a 3am flight. (Walkable distance but not in the middle of the night) Their charge for the 3min drive was exorbitant, so I arranged on my own. "

"This property itself was beautiful. Our room had two stories, and our room upstairs opened up to the restaurant, and the beautiful rooftop view. The staff here were so nice and helped us to plan everything we wanted to do. Also, the location of this place is very convenient, very close and walkable distance to the night food market, and different historic locations in Stonetown. We loved our stay here and will definitely go back. Only complaint we had was that the drain in the shower went down...

"Highly recommend the Marafiki Beach Hotel & Spa In Zanzibar. Picturesque location on beautiful & luscious grounds with authentic sounds of nature, the feel of tranquility, and all your needs catered to by efficient & friendly staff. On our 1st day there, we arrived late in the day and the kitchen stayed open just to serve us a hot meal. Gorgeous Outdoor seating, which is always my preference, with bowls of locally grown fresh fruits and homemade breads prepared for us to share with one other....

"The surrounding areas at night had loud noises it the room was stunning. It could have just been the situation of our room as it was close to the gate. The room unfortunately also didn’t have a telephone so when my husband got food poisoning and i wasn’t feeling my best I had to go to reception to ask for some help. The staff were super accommodating and always friendly. "
