"Loved this hotel! The location was perfect for our adventure. Right across from the Scott monument, a few minutes walk from the Waverly bus stop and a few minutes from the Royal mile. We didn’t have any views personally, but the rooms were clean and exactly as advertised. Breakfast options were delicious. Would definitely recommend!"

"An inauspicious start, we had to wait over two hours to get a room, and then once we were in, the bathroom sink wasn't working properly. But the front desk staff, including Kenneth, Elly and especially, Erin worked above and beyond to rectify the situations. They accepted the problems as their own and got things working properly. "Our room was very clean and nice. The staff was friendly. The main restaurant and bar is beautiful but we were very disappointed that it was closed for a private event one of the nights that we stayed there. They had a small bar open for us but it just was not the same. The person attending the bar was not a bartender and had to seek advice at the main bar for assistance. The prices of drinks should reflect the lower quality of ambiance. We would expect coffee and tea to be available...
