"We booked a balcony room overlooking the harbour with our dog. The staff on reception were wonderful. In our room there was a doggy welcome gift, treats toy poop bags. The room was large and comfortable. Robes slippers and a fan.
We should have prebooked a table in the pub as it was busy, and dogs not allowed in the gorgeous restaurant, so thankfully we sat outside. Food and views were great. Close enough to stroll into town. Small green area where the dog could do her business at night and in...
"A very busy place as there are no other hotels nearby. The decor is outlandish, and the staff do their best: repeating "no worries" is the extent of staff training. Rooms are stuffy and unventilated."
"View was stunning, catch of the day was amazing, manager was top notch and did everything she could to resolve any issues.
Room was lovely, unfortunately balcony was in need of TLC, however it is due to be renovated we understand. Room was very hot and as it is set back there is little breeze, would definitely recommend having fans available with all this hot weather."
"3/5 – Decent stay, but tight on space
Overall an okay experience. The room was quite small for two people on a week-long trip — storage was limited and we genuinely struggled to find space to open and access our suitcases properly. It's also not a modern hotel, though that's probably fairly typical for the area.
There's also no lift, which made carrying heavy luggage up to the room a real struggle. The hotel is right next to a main road, so it was noisy even with the windows closed.
On the plus...
"Perfect location - nothing better than going for a daily sea swim at the beach at the bottom of the garden.
We had a garden view room with a balcony that looked through the gardens and to the sea - made for idyllic mornings and evenings.
Staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay."
"It was as nice as our memory of our first stay, when the sun shines there is only one place to be - on the terrace. Having said that it is very comfortable to be inside. It is a very friendly place to be to enjoy Cornwall."

- Not adapted for light sleepers. Quite noisy especially on Saturday nights because of the pub in front of the hotel. The charm of an old building has also the downside you hear the shower, the coffee machine and the vibration of the fan from the rooms around.

"Absolutely fantastic, couldn’t fault our stay, owners are lovely, so friendly, so accommodating, location was fabulous, if you are a walker or have a car then popping into town or surrounding areas is simple, mobility issues not great as there are lots of hills."
"Loved this B&B - the room (Langley) was clean and big, and had everything you need. There was a cafetiere for the coffee which I genuinely don't know that I've ever had in a hotel before, and really liked. There's UHT milk in the room and fresh milk and cold water in a fridge in the guest lounge (as well as bags of ice that I somehow missed until the last night, don't miss the ice).
