Very far from resorts and restaurants. limited shuttle service from hotel, and had several instances of no taxis being available. Not a knock on the hotel, but know you are secluded. I will stay in Grand Hirafu next time."

"Almost perfect… except the Onsen, which is a key component of any ski holiday in Japan. The onsen was fantastic and we used it twice a day. However it was largely ruined by Chinese guests who disrespected Japanese culture - and all other guests using the onsen by getting straight into the bath without washing first. We were not the only guests who felt this. The signs and instructions for onsen use were in Japanese and English only. Need to have signs in Chinese too. "

The hotel is perfectly located on Upper Hirafu with excellent accessibility, the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and well-appointed (only lacking a full length mirror), the property is perfectly maintained and the staff are excellent and always try to go out of their way to help you. "Nice three-bedroom apartment with an amazing view of Mt. Yotei (looks like Mt. Fuji). We came to ski and the property was tucked back on a side street about 1/2 mile from the resort. The staff provides a free private van shuttle during the day to and from the resort or to and from any local shops or restaurants, with a little notice. Even without notice, they try to accommodate you. One of the kids wanted to return mid-day from the ski resort and they picked us up within a few minutes. There...

"True ski in ski out property! Ski lifts right outside hotel door. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite for 6 nights. In room washing machine was super helpful since we were traveling with kids. Close to restaurants and shopping. Hotel provided transport from hotel to Hirafu Welcome center which is where our shuttle bus from Chitose Airport dropped us off at."

"Kira Kira is located downhill of the Hirafu Welcome Centre. Transportation is provided during arrival and departure to and from the Welcome Centre. I am not too sure if the transportation can be arranged during they stay as I did not try this. The room was spacious and well suited my needs. It was comfortable.
