"Stayed here as a stop over from a long journey with our dog - went for a swim in the pool to relax which was lovely but could do with some tlc as the pool is looking tired - the bedroom was large and comfortable with tea/coffee making facilities with milk - the grounds are beautiful and nice to walk around we had a bar meal which was good and breakfast the next day was outstanding- lots of choice well cooked and hot. Very nice stay overall and recommended"

"This hotel is very rough around the edges especially externally. The rooms clearly need updating too. The reception area has been modernised. For what we paid for one night it was acceptable and very good location for Stratford itself."
Staverton Park Hotel & Golf Club
8/10 Good
"A lovely hotel convenient location. Breakfast was excellent with an extensive hot buffet service. My only gripe would be the disabled parking. They do have spaces right next to the door but there are no signs, except on the floor. We were blocked in by a very inconsiderate driver who claimed he didn't know it was disabled parking. Also the other space had a car in it with no displayed disabled badge. Perhaps a sign on the post infront of the parking spaces would be good asking for badges to be displayed or face a fine etc. We had to wait until the manager could locate the person responsible so we could even get into our car."
The Grand Hotel Birmingham
10/10 Excellent
"Beautiful hotel lovely clean well maintained room. Great staff. Always very friendly. Great location for sights and shops."
Ettington Park Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Our room was super clean and we stayed in a family room where we had two separate floors so our son slept downstairs on the sofa bed and we had a bedroom upstairs where the bathroom was as well. The main room that our son was in was very spacious although the view wasn’t brilliant as we were looking out onto the car park but that’s full of trees so that didn’t really matter. The great thing was that our room was just above where the spa and pool was so it was really easy to get there, which was fantastic. The bedroom itself was quite small, but that didn’t really matter and it was right opposite the bathroom which was very useful. I would say that for the money the room could’ve been kept a little bit better. For example, one of the blinds had a bit missing so it let the lighting. Also there were two TVs one in the main room and one in the bedroom which was fantastic, but it would’ve been good if they were smart TVs. Some of the furniture was a little bit scratched as well so I wouldn’t say that the state of the room was excellent but the cleanliness was. The staff were absolutely amazing and really we couldn’t have asked for them to be any more friendly than they were. The spa was lovely not massive but good enough for us. The pool was a nice size. I wouldn’t say very big. There was a steam room and a sauna room which were very good. The hot tub was probably the best thing as I’ve never been in one that is quite as powerful! All in all we really enjoyed our stay!"
