Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club

"Generally really nice stay, changing rooms at the pool could have been cleaner, more clear instructions how to use the lockers. Would be useful to have an ice and water machine on each floor. Bed wise, mattress was very comfy but pillows are terrible. Need much former pillows Dinner buffet very overpriced even if you book in advance At £25"
Crowne Plaza Stratford Upon Avon by IHG
8/10 Good
"Check in was a wait but it was busy and the receptionist was nice. £13 a night for parking which I was not aware of. I booked a premium king room with lounge access. The room was an interjoining room and we had very noisy next door neighbours banging and shouting. Walls were very thin - didn’t feel very private. It wasn’t a king bed - it was beds pushed together. The pillowcase had a hole in it but the bed(s)/ bedding were comfy. The room wasn’t big - as it was my first stay I wondered whether it was actually a premium room - as the premiums were meant to be larger. The bathroom was ok. The toilet you had to flush a few times, the tap for the sink is fixed in a place that caused it to spill water and there was a stained bath mat in the bath. The mini fridge was gd with water. We also had biscuits tea coffee. I thought we were going to have a view but 3/4 of the curtains covered a wall and only 1/4 had a window which showed a bit of the river. I would’ve used the gym - didn’t know where it was - weren’t told and there was no information in the room. I also had to google breakfast times. We had lounge access. It was packed in the evening but a gd area. There were a gd selection of drinks & canapés - but they weren’t covered and there were several bluebottles on the food. I would recommend getting lids or covers. Breakfast was nice. A huge spread and everything we had was tasty. Staff were fab. It was ok! Pricey for what it was in my opinion."
