"Beautifully decorated with great rooms and bathrooms. Streets leading to the hotel are very narrow and may not accommodate larger vehicles. Parking is offsite at a municipal lot, but they do provide a shuttle."

"Popilia was an incredible place to stay. Eveything about the resort is amazing. The staff is incredibly friendly and was always very helpful. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately kept. The grounds are also meticulously maintianed. The pools is huge and makes you feel like you are in the Caribbean. The restaurant is also very good. If i had to give one criticism it would be to have a wider selection of food options for lunch or dinner. Otherwise 10 out of 10!!"

"The grounds of the hotel are very nice, good size pools, but the buildings, rooms, restaurant is in very poor condition, lights are not working on the paths, no shades on the pool areas, the dirty windows and walls in the dinning room. Our room, bedside light not working, no toilet seat, we asked them to replace it twice, no chance Our meal times were a nightmare, eating the first course, when the second arrives at the table within minutes, the pasta awful, no fruit in morning, if you can wait...

"Stayed for one night here and was impressed in general. Decor was a little dated in the room but the bathroom was nice and modern. Very clean rooms with good service and good location. Would stay here again if I was in the local area. Only real criticism was the water pressure in the showers...was extremely weak and the valve that changes from overhead shower to hand held shower would barely switch due to the low pressure. "First off let me say that this is an very good hotel. A lovely old building that is tastefully renovated in an old Italian style. The surrounding gardens and pool are also lovely. HOWEVER it is located in a town called Soverato which is a somewhat deserted (in mid Sept) little dirty place that consists of about 80 tower blocks that look like they were put up in a hurry 20 years ago. "We stayed here for convenience as we attended a wedding here. Apparently it was off season so facilities were limited. There was no food available when we arrived and the breakfast included consisted of crouton like bread in packets with a selection of jams and chocolate or custard croissants.
