"Booked an executive suite for our wedding anniversary. Nothing wrong with the suite but myself and my husband aren’t late night partygoers so just like a few drinks, nice food and then watch a bit of tv snuggled up in bed…..however no tv in the bedroom and only a very small 2 seater sofa in the living room where the tv is so left us a bit disappointed. Also I think the old executive lounge was a lot better ambience wise. The food and drink was excellent in the lounge but I felt like we were sitting in a glass square box rather than a nice chilled out area as the old lounge was so again a bit disappointed. Still enjoyed our stay but not sure if we’d stay their again."

"Amazing 2 night stay. Very comfortable, clean and accommodating. All staff were very friendly. We recommend booking room with lounge access, this was a nice little treat we didn’t expect, with free bar between 5-7pm. Good location, only a 10 min walk into the city. Overall great experience !! "Son booked his room as he's staff from another Marriott, his Superior room was clean and everything was as expected. Just one small minor issue a couple of loose boards on the balcony - didnt distract the view of the Racecourse. My daughter & i got a free unexpected upgrade to a family room which was huge for just the two of us. Breakfast was fitting for a Marriot, son won't comment as he's a chef, service and staff were excellent. The only thing i didnt like and the Marriott cant do too much about is that the pool area is right at the front of the hotel, you have to walk past to get to car park at the side. Wandering around the grounds we walked the Apple orchard- so many apples wasted, didnt see advertised a Tennis court, which had we known, we would have used. A great 3 night stay - enjoyed by all."
