"I would not rate this property 4 stars. The ‘all inclusive’ was very limited. The dining area is very small with only a few choices at meal times. The walk to the beach was unpleasant. The hotel is on a noisy main road. I think the pictures are not a realistic reflection of how the hotel looks"

"I had a lovely stay here and would come again. I will say that while the property is clean and the staff take care of it, it does need a little lick of paint here and there but overall it is a beautiful location and a true place to relax and recoup. I was disappointed that there wasn't yoga classes as posted, but I was able to book a private class with a teacher, who was great. Booked with their masseuse a few times as she was WONDERFUL (Rose if I remember rightly) Handy swimming pool right outside my room (salt). And a little general store on site which after realizing that Plakias is a 15min drive away, was good to have on hand. Scuba diving in the cove was gorgeous and there was a little spot you could jump straight into the ocean near the main pool. The cove is not the beach however, the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes and up some very steep stairs. The view is amazing, but I'd recommend wearing solid walking shoes as there is loose gravel/rocks and the drop to the ocean is sheer. The entertainment was mediocre to be honest, and the location would benefit from a karaoke night in my opinion. All-inclusive does not include all drinks, beer and wine only. But the food was decent enough to not bother going into the town except for a treat. Great nudist beach nearby in Plakias, with regular beach down the road. Lovely little town. "

"Everything is amazing in the hotel it is very suitable for families there is good service and great food, everywhere you go in the hotel the staff are very understanding and kind. The only thing is that there could be more air conditioning as in the room it is quite hot. We had a great time we recommend it to anyone"

"We stayed at Aegean View for two weeks, in Stavromenos. We came with two kids, ages 13 and 11. It was an excellent stay. It's a new hotel and the owner and staff were very responsive to our needs. The pool is very nice, the breakfast is perfect, lots of fruit, delicious eggs, ham and cheese, etc. Air conditioning worked well in the room which is crucial for a July vacation in Crete. Lots of parking and we rented a car and drove all around Crete. One big bonus was that it was just 10 minutes from downtown Rethymno and we were happy we didn't stay IN Rethymno, it's gotten too crowded, difficult to navigate and impossible to park. It's must easy to stay just outside of Rethymno. It is 2 minutes walk to a small beach but there are so many gorgeous beaches in Crete, we didn't really spend time at the beach outside of our hotel which is a little rocky. Overall a fantastic stay and happy to recommend."
