"Really nice hotel and the restaurant food was amazing"

"This hotel was lovely. The communal areas are very pleasant to sit in, clean and spacious. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was great too! Being British, we would have liked a few tea bags, but this is hardly a big deal. If you opt out of having your room cleaned one day, you get a free drink at the bar for being eco friendly I guess, which is a nice touch. Overall we had a fab time here!"

"Very impressive hotel. Plenty of available parking and on arriving the staff at reception were helpful, friendly and ensured our check in was quick and easy. Lovely bar and restaurant where we ate as it was extremely well presented/decorated/furnished. My room was large and well appointed and like the rest of the hotel nicely furnished /decorated and it makes a pleasant change to a lot of hotel rooms to have both a large shower and large bath. Both our evening meal and breakfast were excellent....

"Room amenities were not 4 star. No USB ports, no kettle, warm fridge, safe that didn't open, bedside wall light front plate fell off, no instructions on how to operate anything, no information about breakfast/dinner menus, bed sheets do not fit the bed. Room was clean, bathroom was very nice, hairdryer included. Staff pleasant and mostly helpful. Restaurant did not make a good impression at dinner. Slow service, wrong order after long wait followed by another long wait for the correct...

"First, this comment applies to all hotels in Ghent, if you are traveling in the summer time and you need AC, I highly recommend calling ahead your hotel and directly point blank ask if they have AC. I speak from a bad experience. And by AC I mean your room will not be cooler than 68 degrees Fahrenheit at best (or 20 to 25 Celsius). Now regarding, The Ghent River Hotel, this hotel has AC in each room which is a must in the summer time. The hotel is in an excellent location. You can walk...
