"We loved staying here. The location is perfect, right in the walkable middle of the medieval center of the city next to the college. Rooms were quaint, the food was good. Enjoyed the welcome glass of port when we arrived. My wife mentioned the showers were very hot and the water pressure was great. Enjoyed the stay very much. Only downside was parking, it was tricky to get close. They did indicate that in the welcome message ahead of check-in though. "

"Palace Sao Silvestre is an easy 10min drive from the heart of Coimbra and it was an oasis to return to. This hotel is a very relaxing place to stay. Beautiful pool to cool down in or relax sitting by, picnic next to a vineyard, breakfast in the dining room or out on the patio and bar/dining on site; food & service were great. Loved that it is surrounded by lovely grounds available for use to guests. "

"Our stay here was perfect. It felt like we were in a rain forest and close to nature. The hotel was new and very clean. The staff were very friendly. We had some rain during our stay so we were able to enjoy the spa, suna, and gym. The village has many dining options, but it would be helpful to have a rental car."

"The staff went out of their way to make our stay amazing - our only regret was that we couldn’t stay another night! The restaurant served some of the best food we have ever eaten. The steak that my wife got was SO good that she asked to speak to the chef, just to tell him it was the best steak she had EVER had in her life! We NEVER do that!"
