"No air con, made to wait at check-in, check-in was supposed to be at 15.00, left standing at reception while he went through the back office, then told the room was not ready, coat rack fell off the wall, which I repaired, the rooms could do with air conditioning rather than a tower fan, beds were not the best"
"Unique design, modern and clean, private, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, excellent view, all around great experience. Convenient location for Old Man of Storr and Quiraing. Our favorite of 5 places we stayed during our trip."
"What an amazing property - we spent three days there and it was not enough. Everything about Perle Oban was perfection wrapped up in a lot of fun! Gorgeous all around."
"The hotel is a converted manor house with a number of extensions including a spa building with rooms above. The executive rooms in spa building are modern but dated and look like any 3 star chain hotel. The food in the pub was good as was the breakfast. The staff were helful and it was convenient to have ev charging onsite."
"The Palace is in a great location , easy walking across the bridge to the Old Town and the Inverness Castle and Museum.
Staff are delightful and eager to please.
The breakfast is quite good."
"This was a very convenient location with which to explore Inverness. The room was adequately sized and the shower and large tub were very nice. The double bed sagged deeply in the middle almost as if two twins pushed together. No small fridge which I always find useful when traveling. This was one of our last stays in Scotland so I was quite surprised to find none of the usual Scottish smiles and welcoming attitudes as at prior locales. Unfortunately we found the staff to be quite dour and...
"Location 10 minute drive to town. We were in Annex lower level with small private patio.
Breakfast was nice but service had slow start at 7:00.
No idea of rooms in main building."
"This appears to have been recently renovated, so clean and in good repair. Rooms are incredibly small. Our bathroom was up three stairs…not good for the older generation. We did not try the restaurant. Staff were fine but we had minimal interaction as we just checked in, slept, and checked out. Fine for an overnight stay…not a long one requiring wiggle room!"
"Nous avons obtenu une chambre à l’extérieur de l’hôtel pour personne à mobilité réduite. Aucune demande en ce sens. Pas une douche un rideau…la porte était en mauvais état à l’intérieur. Rapport qualité/prix décevant pour cette chambre. Bon petit déjeuner et bien situé."
"The hotel is very poor in appearance. It does not seem to be well maintained. The soft covered furniture coverings are faded. There was one hand towel and one bath towel in the bathroom. There was another hand towel and bath towel in a plastic bag in the closet. There were no wash cloths. The breakfast was mediocre with precooked scrambled and fried eggs and was not appetizing. When we checked in at 10:00 PM, another couple who travelled with us and also booked five months in advance were told...
