"We loved the breakfast and it was the primary reason we chose the Royal Carlton. We prefer to stay on property for breakfast and we enjoy indulging in good coffee, pastries and an abundance of breakfast items. It’s our treat on vacation. We like being relatively close to the train station, but in a quieter neighborhood. The hotel met all requirements and was beautiful! We enjoyed our stay!!"
"We arrived in Bologna by train for a 2-night stay and the Starhotels Excelsior was a great place to land. The hotel is directly across the street from the train station and within a 20 minute walk to the center of town, which made it ideal for our needs. The front desk staff were helpful and efficient, and the room was spacious - you could walk around without tripping over suitcases - with a comfortable bed. Also, it was very quiet inside the room - any noise from the street below did not...
"Staff was really friendly and helpful. Room was spacious enough. Well located between the train station and the main piazza. My only suggestion would be to add USB outlets."
"Great hotel in a very good location (15 min walk to City center.) Very comfortable room with attentive staff. Had issue 1st night and Emiliano was above and beyond excellent in resolving the issue in the middle of the night. Would definitely recommend this hotel."
"Excellent location. Large and comfortable room with modern touches and a very generous bathroom, including a full sized tub. The bed could have been more comfortable but otherwise everything about the hotel was great. You really can’t beat the location. Would come back here anytime."
"This hotel is perfect for a solo traveler. The breakfast is excellent, high quality. The rooms are clean, comfortable and have everything you need. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. The area is close to the Piazza Maggiore which is a very busy hub but the hotel itself is very quiet. The area was very safe and an easy walk to/from the train station"
