"We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years when visiting family. On this occasion it was shortly after my wife had an operation. The staff were helpful in providing a room close to the lift and were keen to ensure that everything was okay for us. The only downside was that in booking a second room for our daughter we were charged for 2 breakfasts (no option for a single) by Hotels.com - not the policy of the hotel we were told. In future we would not pre-order breakfast and pay at the hotel."

"Had a lovely stay absolutely amazing meal in the Pickled Sprout. Fantastic service friendly staff all round. Only issue was the room was way too hot (not much the hotel could do about that short of installing air conditioning) we had 3 fans in the room which made it bearable. Next time we will defo ask for a room with a window. Yes we will be back ."

"This was a stop off for Sunday as I was due in Harrogate for rehabilitation treatment on the Monday to Friday. Great stop gap. Food in the evening was sent back as the pasta was cold. Service and staff were helpful."
