But we have been in Germany for over two weeks and have stayed at 6 other hotels, and this was the one that just didn’t meet the same standards. It is in a great area and the room was pretty clean, but they do need a good amount of maintenance. "Good restaurants, especially breakfast and the Biergarten. Good for walks and cycling and touring with car. Berncastel Kues 5mins, bit of a disappointment except fabulous Zylinderhaus museum. Air conditioning a bit poor, but not a problem as it was a cool week in July!"

"Pleasant and peaceful hotel within walking distance of the amphitheater and the other attractions. They were very kind to give us a small gift because we were celebrating our anniversary. There was also a complimentary bottle of water. The room was comfortable, and there was a tower fan that was nice as I stayed in the summer. The breakfast seemed to be designed with health consciousness in mind. In particular, there was a good selection of cold cuts and cheese. "

"Really interesting Art Deco hotel in great condition. Lovely breakfast. Good bathroom and shower, comfy bed, nice and quiet. Friendly staff. Restaurant service was superb but food was a bit expensive and not to our taste - although that may be us rather than the food itself. There's a great little wine bar opposite that was wonderful for an afternoon of quaffing. I'd definitely return, given the chance."

"Fantastic getaway destination for a weekend stay (and more). Hotel location is great with hikes nearby and the hotel courtyard, pool and other facilities are amazing! We had two small kids and were worried that their play and shouts might not be met with the warmest feedback but the hotel staff was super welcoming. "This is an old house made successfully into a hotel. However, it does not provide wireless access in All the rooms. (Also, in the summer, there are no fans.) The staff seems to be overworked, but they are coping well and provide a very good service."

"Mooi modern hotel, heerlijk ontbijt, prachtig uitzicht over de moezel. Alleen de eigenaresse is vrij stug. Eerst zouden mijn hulp behoevende ouders er gaan slapen en wij in onze camper op de camping ernaast. Wij wilden dan graag samen ontbijten (tegen betaling) zodat ik mijn ouders zou kunnen helpen. Dit was niet toegestaan!! Uiteindelijk kregen we pech met camper en konden wij toevallig nog een kamer krijgen in dit hotel en konden dan wel samen ontbijten. Maar meedenken is er niet bij. Door...
