"We had a wonderful stay at the MASD. We were lucky enough to have a room facing the sea and the beach, and waking up to that view each morning was just beautiful. Our son had an adjoining room which worked perfectly. The room itself was very modern and finished to an excellent standard. Everything felt high quality and well thought through. The bed was huge and incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen area was very well equipped with plenty of useful items, which made the stay even easier and more relaxing. The location is fantastic, a lovely area with great walks along the seafront, and everything feels easily accessible. The indoor pool area was amazing and a real highlight of our stay, very warm and nicely kept. Very hard to find in this area. There are also spa facilities which looked very nice, although we didn’t use them this time. The outdoor pool also looked lovely, but as it was winter and out of season, we didn’t use it. All of the staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. Our only complaint was that the corridor smelt of cigarette smoke from other guests, as smoking was allowed on the balconies. Aside from that, everything was excellent. We would definitely stay again and ask for the same rooms."

"The cleaner did not change the sheets or towels every day. I am certain of this because there was a small stain from my suitcase on the sheet. The next day, when I returned to the room, the sheets had been flipped over, and I could clearly see the same suitcase stain on the other side. The bath towel had been neatly folded and placed straight, which made it appear as if it had been replaced. However, it had a strong unpleasant odor and was clearly not freshly washed. My friend, who stayed in a different room at your hotel during the same dates, also noticed that the sheets and towels were not changed daily. We are not sure whether this is your hotel’s policy or not, but this was the first time we experienced sheets and towels not being changed every day — especially since we left a tip each morning for housekeeping. Because of the careless way the room was cleaned, we became very concerned about whether our belongings inside our suitcase were safe and whether our privacy had been properly respected. I understand that the hotel was fully booked due to a group stay and that the staff may have been very busy. However, we expected at least a basic standard of service. We believe this may have involved the housekeeping staff assigned on the mornings of February 17th and 19th. "
