"Resort focused on locals. Some staff don’t even speak English. Rooms are dated with broken furniture. Bathroom with faulty toilets and gunk in the shower glass. Food s not bad but repetitive and boring. Specialty restaurants food is mediocre with premium to visit tepanyaky and steak. Pool music is based on small groups that bring their own boombox and it becomes very noise and annoying. Beach is rough with a step made which can be dangerous for kids specially. We rented a vehicle to go visit...

"Communication from the owner was excellent. The staff was amazing and patient with our lack of Spanish. The food was delicious and made dining stress free for my wife and me. The grounds and pool were also quite nice. If “bang for your buck” is a priority, I recommend La Maracuya. It’s a little remote, but we wanted some quiet time, and the location didn’t prevent us from exploring. We visited the pacific beaches and El Valle de Anton via rental car. Thanks for caring for us during our stay!"
