"The spa was fabulous.
The room (free upgrade!) was large, quiet and lovely. The window actually opened.
Breakfast was in a lovely location and quite good quality. Not cheap, though.
The staff was very correct and helpful. Very proper.
One caveat - all information in room and about stay only offered in German."

We were variously told that we could/could not have a kettle; could/could not use the new terrace area at all; could/could not have a drink there; could/could not have a meal there. Room service unreliable - we were missing towels, bathmat, toilet roll on different days. Muzak in the public areas was...
"Excellent location with nearby restaurants and in walking distance from the historic city hall (Rathaus) and the Aachen Cathedral UNESCO World Heritage Site. Lovely clean and quiet streets."
"Die Kopfkissen waren sehr ungemütlich. Ein Vergrößerungs-spiegel im Bad wäre schön.
Beim Frühstück war der Kaffeeautomat ständig defekt. Ich hätte mir ein paar mehr Lebensmittel für Vegetarier gewünscht. Z.B. Kräuterquark. Frischkäse-Dip oder einen Herzhaften Brotaufstrich oder Antipasti."
"Zeer vriendelijke en behulpzame hotelhouders. Heel prettig hotel met precies de dingen die je nodig hebt, zonder overdreven 'luxe' poespas. Daardoor een uitstekende prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding."
"Hotel was prima. Ontbijt is heel goed. De kamers en vooral de badkamer had schoner gemogen. Bed, vloer, wc waren prima schoon. En bed sliep prima. De bruine stoelen waren een beetje aan het verslijten. Personeel was erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam."
