"There are few hotels in the world that offer as beautiful of views from one's room as the cathedral side balcony rooms of this Sercotel Puerta de la Catedral. I've stayed there 3 times, and even love waking up in the middle of the night to see the cathedral illuminated. Magical. "

"Excellent location just a few steps from the cathedral, which we could even see from the window of our room. The hotel itself is in a beautiful old building, while the rooms are modern and comfortable. Parking was easy, as we just stopped right in front of the hotel and the staff parked for us while we checked in."

"Hotel looks ok on arrival, but once inside is tired and dated. Carpets on corridor floors are in dire need of replacement, room furniture showing its age, and the mattress had a definite dip in the centre. Bathroom was much better, however, and the shower was spacious with strong water pressure. All staff encountered were friendly and obliging. Breakfast was a good selection, but would it not be more sensible to place the glasses near the juices?? "

"This is a clean, and quiet place, very handy if you are on a road trip and need a stop off not far from the motorway. The staff are friendly but for those that dont have any basic spanish you will struggle. There are no tea/coffee facilitates in the rooms which is an annoyance. I am sure they wouldn't like me in my pjs in the restaurant. During April when we visited it actually looks like its being run on skeleton staff and areas such as lounge bar is closed, swimming pool closed until June. And...

"The only problem was I wasn’t told there was a huge parking fee. When I went to leave they tried to charge me but I refused to pay because I wasn’t told before hand. Other than that great place to stay very central and great service."

"It was the 3rd time we have used this hotel. Its very comfortable,and afgordable. Not far from the centre of Salamanca. We managed to get free parking across the road from the hotel. As it was raining, we had a 3 course meal at the hotel restaurant. It was very good and at the right price. We will definitely stayagain if in Salamanca."

"The reception team were very welcoming and the hotel was a short distance from the sights to visit. If we were ever in this area again would not hesitate to stay here again. Cleanliness scores a 4 only because the bin in the bathroom had not been emptied from the previous guests visit."
