"Location is excellent. Staff v. Helpful"

"A bit of a boutique hotel. It all works well. The rooms are a little small but there is no wasted space. The windows are on the street or canal. Breakfast is fun and welcoming but the lobby is where the action is. It forms the hub of the hotel and has an open bar and a nice coffee area. At 4 pm, they serve wine and a small appetizer service. The staff is very helpful, too."

"The property is in a prime location and well-maintained. However, I found the staff could be more helpful. For example, I had to ask the front desk on how to get my perks after i ordered my food and then go downstairs to the bar to get a bottle opener for my room."

"A very nice alternative to Sofitel or Four Seasons. Quiet, nice area. More of a “boutique” hotel than some of the more opulent chains. But very good. I’d stay there again. Only about $500.00 a night versus $700.00 to $1000.00 a night for something slightly better."

"The hotel was a great location , central to all the main sightseeing. Walked everywhere.Fantastic history to the building. Staff very welcoming on arrival. We were at the back of the hotel so no noise to speak of. Room was very clean at first glance, bedding fresh, and well decorated, nice modern bathroom with nice toiletries.Great coffee machine and tea facilities, also fridge which we used for fresh milk bought at a supermarket 1 min away. Hairdryer fine, I managed to dry and style my hair...

"Love this location, will definitely stay again."

"Very easy excess to hotel from Amsterdam Central train station-10min walk ,so that was plus ."

"Lovely hotel, very clean and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a city-view room that was a fair size, had a window and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. The location is good. It is around a 30-minute walk to the main city centre or you can jump on the number 4 tram that stops a short walk away from the hotel."

"The location was excellent, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to different parts of Amsterdam. The room was very quiet in terms of street noise. However, because it was a connecting room, noise from the adjoining room or corridor could sometimes be heard. Unfortunately, our bed consisted of two single beds pushed together and was made up with two separate single duvets. The staff members we dealt with were excellent throughout our stay. The room was spacious and...
