"a lot of tourist in this hotel. centrally located by kyoto station is ideal to get to but not ideal for the stay. it’s a little far from where the action is — quick bus ride to Gion while convenient is still out of way. we found ourselves out all day and night instead of returning to drop items off and refresh. the rooms are more spacious for japan standards and up keep is good for an older hotel. "

"The Kyoto Century Hotel is a fantastic establishment. Staff are friendly, attentive and courteous. Rooms have king sized bed, mini fridge and the hotel provide yukata. The only snag we had was with the check-in process. Check-in is at 3pm and the hotel uses a self check-in computer kiosk (there is only 3 of them). It's a little overwhelming having only 3 kiosks and all the hotel guests trying to check-in all at once. But staff are there to help streamline the process as best as they can. Not...
