"The property was not what I expected as it was chunky with so much thick wood panels and very outdated in style The staff were charming from arrival to departure and an excellent breakfast selection...........Sadly no other meals were served as they said there was no restaurant. The rooms were spotless and inviting ,but very outdated in color and style, such dark colors gloomy halls where lights are automatic left me standing in the dark by the elevator. Not my taste but a happy stay ,Thanks"

"Very nice hotel, very warm and welcoming staff, excellent breakfast everyday, nice rooms with outstanding views, walking distance to Tignes lake (but the incline can be challenging for some people). We had diner one night there and the food was delicious. Overall, we had an excellent experience there and would certainly be happy to return. "

"Location was great. Food was plentiful, varied and very good. I am a non-skier and was planning on working out a lot while hubby skied. Website stated that there was yoga, and it looked as though there would be about 5 classes/day...well, we were told onsite that there was no yoga instructor this year- please update your site!? The Norwegian spa on the roof was unavailable as well. Steam room/sauna were nice. Pool was lovely...when it was warm enough. "

"Convenient hotel for La Daille lifts and funicular train. Supermarket and tabac opposite. Good for a family holiday. Not a luxury hotel by any means but clean and well equipped rooms with comfy beds and kitchenette. We had breakfasts and most dinners here no problem. Would recommend for a reasonably priced hotel for family ski. "

"If you are looking for a lovely studio in a walkable area near the airport with a generous breakfast, this is the place for you. BE SURE to coordinate your arrival with your host. DO NOT do what I did: reserve the 3-room apartment and show up at the given address. (The instruction to make prior arrangements if you are arriving after 10:30 pm is completely misleading.). It is an apartment building with no way to get in and no way to contact anyone. We were about to return to Turin to search...

"Séjour très agréable,nous avons été accueillis par les propriétaires de l'hôtel malgré l'heure tardive très chaleureusement, ceux-ci nous ont conseillé un très bon restaurant pas très loin de l'hôtel. Durant notre séjour nous nous sommes sentis comme en famille.La sympathie de ce couple n'est pas feinte.Ils sont très sociables et gentils. Nous avons pus passer l'après-midi avec notre famille au bord la piscine malgré le fait qu'ils ne logeaient pas dans l'hôtel ils ont été les bienvenus. En...

"What can I say, a fantastic hotel experience!! Clean, extremely comfortable and excellent service from all staff! Lovely breakfast, great location, Cosy bar area, nearby covered parking and a lovely little spa. The outdoor pool boasts amazing views of the mountains, just magical!! I highly recommend this lovely little property, my only improvement comment is the toilet roll provided in rooms which is a little too rough, so I purchased my own. Other than that, our experience was faultless....

"Wir haben ein Appartement in einem Wellness-Hotel gebucht. Während unseres Aufenthaltes war aber leider alles geschlossen. Die Rezeption war lediglich von Mo-Fr jeweils von 8-10 Uhr besetzt. Der Wellness-Bereich befand sich in einem anderen Gebäudeteil der während unseres Aufenthaltes komplett geschlossen war. "We are a family of four, with two college-age children, and had a wonderful stay at the Samovar. We stayed in one of the family rooms, which was perfect for us (with two beds in a spacious upstairs loft). The hotel is perfectly located -- literally across the street from the Dailles gondola (and only about a block from the funicular to the summit). There are a couple of restaurants nearby, including a great Savoyarde spot across the street. There is a regular shuttle bus to the main village of...

"Staff was very helpful, location is ideal. But, can't figure out why a bed too large for the room is shoe-horned in, with a small counter-table located so it is almost impossible to get around bed to rest of room. "

"It's a very nice hotel. Location: 3-5 minutes to lifts. Plenty of Guides and Rental spots. Restaurants: Everything is nearby! 3-10 minutes and you have everything! Pool/Gym/Hot Tub: Busy pool after ski, gym always easy. Bar / Billiards: Very nice bar area. Overall, one of the best hotels in Val d'Isere. Doubt there are better."

Staff were so friendly, family duplex rooms were great, ski in ski out fabulous, breakfast was lovely, freshly baked bread every morning - the fruit one was especially delicious!! Amazing views from our balcony!!! Our only improvement would be more hanging space for clothes and hooks by the door for ski coats!"
