"This was a gorgeous property and hotel in a picturesque setting. Breakfast was delicious and the hotel bar is nice. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the bathroom is so small. Perhaps this isn't the case in the better rooms - we took the basic room."

"Gorgous view of the mountains, helpful staff, and spacious rooms. You can buy tickets for the Zugspitze at the front desk and pay for the tickets at check out. The location isn't ideal for walking with luggage from the train station. Its about a 30 minute walk. However they will give you a city card for the bus network. Very happy with our experience and would happily stay again. "

"We stayed one night in September 2024. Room 286 has a balcony overlooking the lake and the mountains. Geraniums line the deck railing. The room is beautifully designed with plenty of space for your things and it is very well lit. "This is a hidden gem. Spacious rooms, great views, nice sized balcony, church bells ringing, wonderful breakfast and even a better dinner. Did not use the amenities but looked nice. "This hotel has been perfect for our stay at Carpigiani Gelato U. Reasonable prices, clean, friendly & helpful staff, breakfast with a lot of variety including fresh fruit & vegetables. There is air conditioning but it is not very cool even on the high setting. We are from the US and I usually find the air conditioning in public spaces to be too cold. I think for me I prefer something in the middle of here and there!"

Ettal Abbey is also across from the hotel. The front desk has a visitor card for guests to use for free local bus travel (after 5 euro deposit/per person). "Great accommodation, very clean overall, spacious, clean bathroom and shower. We asked for a cot for our 1,5 year old and it was already in the room with sheets and everything. We had a great breakfast, it looks small but everything is refilled all the time. You can choose whatever you want, different breads, eggs, fruit, yoghurt etc.. Would stay here again next time."
