"The rooms are big and clean. Location is perfect. Now ... The bathroom is SO outdated. The breakfast... The worst one we had in our trip. The cucumberd were spoiled, nothing looked fresh."
"Really excellent hotel. Breakfast room on roof top gives spectacular views and great breakfast.
Roof top small pool . Location on seafront beach directly opposite hotel.
Hotel team very helpful. Lovely rooms nice decor very bright and clean.
Would definitely like to go back.
Use the ferry if you have large cases rather than local bus . Taxi good but expensive understandably as roads slow . local ferries are great ."
"Excellent location, right by the Pompeii ruins entrance. Food in the restaurant was excellent, both in quality, quantity and price.
Our room was pleasant, albeit slightly dated. It was clean, plenty of towels in the bathroom and the shower was excellent. We missed having tea and coffee facilities in the room and a complimentary bottle of water would have been a nice touch."
"The location was great. The breakfast was good. We were disappointed that the hot tubs weren’t working because it wasn’t warm enough outside—they didn’t leave them plugged in with heater on. The bar was also closed. It seems by mid-September they were already slowing down."
"The location is perfect, the public beach is right in front of hotel, so we went to the private where we paid for chairs and umbrella. the room was clean but dated the hotel itself needs some TLC"
"Extremely disappointing experience. We stayed at this hotel for one night, and unfortunately our experience ended in an extremely distressing situation. My engagement ring, a deeply sentimental and very valuable piece of jewelry, went missing during our stay.
I discovered the ring was missing shortly after checking out and immediately contacted the hotel. The hotel initially said they would search for it and get back to us. After several hours, we were told that it had not been found. What was...
"The Grand Hotel Excelsior Amalfi was an absolute gem and we are so thrilled to have stayed there. From the fantastic accommodations and amenities to the extraordinarily helpful staff, I plan to stay here anytime I’m on the Amalfi Coast and will recommend it to anyone else planning a trip."
"The rooftop pool and dining room is beautiful and I would say that’s the strongest feature for this Hotel. The first room we were in was one of the older ones and yes, there are ants. Too tiny, but what do you expect when you build a hotel into the side of a mountain?
I think my biggest complaint was everything just felt transactional. We just come from two amazing hotels that cost 50% of what we paid here in the service that those other two hotels was exceptional. I can’t say the same for H2T. ...
"Great breakfast, pool, and view from the room of the coast! Very accessible to the ferry and the path of lemons. A perfect base for us to explore the Amalfi coast!"
"Clean , great location and helpful and welcoming staff. Our issue was with mini bar, it needs to be requested and they didn’t refill tea and coffee until we asked."
"Struttura molto confortevole e personale super disponibile. Purtroppo abbiamo trascorso una sola notte in hotel e non abbiamo avuto modo di usufruire di tutti i servizi. Gli ascensori panoramici per la spiaggia e le terrazze sul mare sono sicuramente quanto di più bello si può trovare."
