"This is a fantastic hotel if you’re planning to be out during the day - the building noise was, at times, awful and there’s no other place to be able to work from. A day of no water (known but not advised until the morning of the supply issue, and then only a notice in the elevators) meant no flushing toilets and no hand washing facilities - no alternatives were offered. "Really liked many aspects of this hotel. I was there in the winter for a visit to one of the many yards that calls Makkum home. Restaurant and service was two highlights and the view from the room was great. Bed and bedding, not so much, the team would need to switch things up for me to sleep well with both feeling dated and bedding not fitting well to the bed. "

"For some reason my room card (room 413) wouldn't work on the 3rd evening, which was a problem as it was after 10.30 in the evening, and i was a single 69 year old traveller. I returned to reception and the card was reset, i returned again to the 4th floor to find it still wasn't working. A member of staff then escorted me to the access door on the 4th floor to ensure it worked the 3rd time."

"This is a lovely hotel in a quiet part of Enkhuizen, in a mostly residential area. "Downtown"/the harbor area is about a 20 minute walk with some beautiful old houses along the way. Service was excellent, the rooms were spacious and modern and well-maintained and the breakfast area/lounge is very comfortable. The continental breakfast buffet was quite good with plenty of choices. I would definitely stay here again."
