"This is a very dated hotel and the overall experience was poor. The tarmac in the carpark has been upended in various places and crumbling. The reception team were helpful but unfriendly. The catering staff were both unhelpful and unfriendly openly arguing between each other at breakfast. I made the mistake of paying £24 for breakfast for my son and I and literally had two bowls of cereal as everything was so unpleasant. I will never get that £24 back. We picked up a pancake if you can call it...

"My room, which was beautiful, was at the front of the hotel. Given that this is the main high street area, it was so loud. There are benches outside the front and a gang of youths hung around there, shouting, making noise, throwing things till after 11pm. The road sweeper came before 6am and the hanging basket watering company came before 6am too. Given that I'd stayed the night due to an important work activity, I got very little sleep and this affected my performance. Granted, these issues...
