"We enjoyed our trip and stay at Hotel Heron. The facilities were beautiful and well maintained. Staff was courteous and helpful. The only criticism from my husband was he missed having a comfortable reading chair or coffee make in the room. He had to go down to the lobby to find coffee and comfortable seating in order to read before the rest of us woke up and got moving. We enjoyed watching Alexandria’s birthday fireworks from the rooftop bar area- a big bonus for sure! "

"I loved the stay. Rooms were a little small. However the hotel staff was friendly and helpful. I was supposed to get a room with a balcony, however, when we arrived. I was told bookings from Expedia were 3 days behind with their system and couldn't give me a room with a balcony. However, the staff member upgraded my room at no extra charge with a balcony as a result of my inconvenience."

"Excellent service from the entire staff (shout out to Super in the lobby bar!). The furniture in the rooms could use an upgrade but that did not negatively impact my stay. Linens were clean, beds comfortable, amazing river view from our room, and a level of customer service many other businesses could learn from. Thank you Westin staff for a wonderful stay!"

"This is a must stay for both the price and location. Located just across the road from the Metro, you have easy access to DC without the need to drive or use a ride share. The area outside the hotel is very nice, and the inside of the hotel is very clean as well. Would highly recommend a stay here for anyone wanting to go to DC without staying in DC. "
