"This was an ok stay. We arrived at 8pm and were told the restaurant had a private, large group and wasn’t open but the bar had bar food until 9pm. After putting down our bags, we went to the bar at 8:20pm and tried to order food. The bar tender said they closed the kitchen early because he was the only one there so they didn’t have any food options. We walked down 2 streets to find food. When we got back, the tv in my room wouldn’t work. The guy from the front desk tried to help but we had to...

"Overall great location and services (smooth check-in, dedicated rooms for bag storage), good kettle and offerings, spacious room, comfortable king bed, clean surroundings. The bathroom was newly renovated, but the shower was tricky (the glass divider is a bit too short to shield water from spilling over), and the key panel was old-fashioned and seemed old. The service and location was so excellent that I couldn't dock a star. Note that there are a few steps at the main entrance!"

"Nice hotel and property right next to the zoo. Terribly overpriced like much of Edinburgh in peak season unfortunately is the main downside."
