"We've just returned home from an absolutely wonderful 10 night stay at this hotel. All of the friendly staff work very hard and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious and very clean and comfortable. There was a great variety of hot and cold food at breakfast, which we enjoyed every day. The hotel grounds and gardens are beautifully well maintained. We also loved the separate pool for adults only, which offered a peaceful retreat. The hotel's location is perfect for access to the nearby beach and the main Kalamaki 'strip', with a great choice of restaurants, bars and supermarkets. We will definitely be back to the Merelen Hotel! "

"We had a lovely time as had pool side room by reception, was worried after reading some of the reviews. If we had had a room at the top by entertainment/ water slide or a top floor room I am sure it would have been slightly worse! Yes food is a little repetitive but if you book Bella pasta it’s fresh pizza etc every night, yes drinks are weak but you can get as many as you like at one time. Staff were amazing if you are friendly and cheerful they are very accommodating, example of which is my daughter left her retainers in the restaurant at breakfast and we’re unfortunately binned, but they took they time to go through the rubbish and find them as they are quite expensive! So greatful to them for doing this and would happily go back if had similar room. "

"We were given a room that smelled like sewage and had not been properly cleaned before our arrival. Make staff were so incredibly rude, shockingly patriarchal, self righteous and unhelpful we had to leave for a better hotel and environment. The only acceptable thing about this hotel is the hotel manager who is a professional lady who agreed to refund the money for two out of three nights we were supposed to spend at the hotel. Everything else is utterly below standard, dirty to the point of making you physically sick, and to be avoided at all costs. "
