"very hany place to stay for using it as a base,we visited lots of places in and around the area, the hotel was clean but a little tired, the staff were so friendly and help full. some information leaflets of things going on in the hotel and around that area would be helpful. breakfast is great every thing you want is there if not just ask the friendly staff"

"As usual, staff at reception were extremely helpful, super friendly and couldn't have done more than they did, to make us feel welcome. We always use this hotel whilst visiting Newcastle on our trips 'Up North' and will continue to do so. Location in and out of Newcastle is easy to get to and the Metro station is a 3 minute walk away giving quick and easy access into the city centre. Thank you"

"Country feel in urban environment. Nice building and room but limited facilities. We only had breakfast but it wasn't exceptional: we had a long delay in it arriving...and cooked breakfast was cold."

"Fabulous place I only stayed here because of a Bruce Springsteen concert in Sunderland so all the Hotels in Newcastle were full. Well worth a visit. Only downside was the size of my fish at dinner. Can only be described as a child’s portion but they brought another half without any complaint. "

"Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was stunning with a great view of the garden complete with baby rabbits munching on the flowers. Food was great and so was the service. The grounds are lovely for a walk."

"We had a really excellent 5 day stay. Our room (3) was huge with 2 kingsize beds and a large sofa. Bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good with excellent friendly, prompt service. A really good location for visiting the area and not too busy. Parking was never a problem. It would have been useful to have some plug-in bed side lights rather than battery operated nightlights. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely stay here again. The staff were incredibly friendly and...
