"The building is tired , stair carpet threadbare. A shame as it’s a beautiful building. Needs TLC. We found the staff ok but inexperienced, they need more training. Our room was clean and comfortable. Gardens stunning. At breakfast there was a lot of people without food as they said they had run out. "

"It’s a lovely hotel in a lovely location. Receptionist was lovely, I didn’t catch her name but she was a lady from Mexico and she was friendly. The room is small and has too much furniture for the size and it was very hot. It had a mobile air con but the first night we didn’t sleep. Breakfast was good but overprice for what it is We had a few drinks in the bar and it was very overprice. One think that shocked me when we were waiting to check in there was a guy walking with a radio and didn’t...

"Amazing Victorian Gothic pile within interesting grounds with the remnants of tge abbey and old lady chapel made into a parish church. Sir Christopher Wren once owned the esrate and nemvers of hus familty memorialised there. The hotel is undergoing upgrading and offers a good standard of accommodation."

I used to come to this hotel regularly years ago and it was wonderful to go back and see that the brilliant service and excellent breakfast remained unchanged!
