"We had a quick stay here after arriving by train and heading to the airport the next morning. Its convenient location is its best asset, literally right next door to the Oriente train station. Staff was helpful, though I had some trouble understanding the check-in clerk's English. (Can't complain too much, as I speak zero Portuguese!) Seeing sunrise over the water from the 11th floor was a treat. Ground floor restaurant -- "Guilty" pleasures -- was a good value, not too expensive. "

"My family and I had an extremely disappointing experience at Evolution Hotel in Lisbon, and I would not recommend it to anyone.To begin with, the bathroom design is poorly executed and borderline unsafe. The shower is cramped, with almost no space to move, and the floor is uneven and excessively slippery, creating a genuine hazard. "We only stayed one night, as we needed to catch an early flight the next morning. Unfortunately, the hotel is currently in very poor condition and does not feel like a 4-star property. It appears to be undergoing renovations, and the front desk is temporarily located on the B1 level. The lobby couches were very dirty, with many visible stains. "Power outlets not safe. Very dirty and old. Staff not friendly and helpful except for 1 older staff member that helped us. Parking was not explained we were locked in and had to get to the airport. Do not stay here. Power outlet not secure and blew up my European hair dryer. Much better options out there. Extremely disappointment, especially since this is a Holiday Inn!
