"Location is fantastic, just minutes drive into St Tropez town. The property itself is tidy and cozy, well landscaped giving it a homey feel. The staff are helpful, particularly the lady at the front desk (forgot her name!) who recommended and arranged evening bookings for us."
"Hotel L’Escalet is a must stay. Ideally located minutes from the beach and only 15 minutes drive from St Tropez a great base foe exploring the area. The facilities are great and the pool was wonderful. However the real difference were the staff, so helpful and accomodating. We normally don’t travel this far south on our visits to France but be assured we will be back."
"This is an old hotel (as are most in France) so, small rooms and smaller bathrooms. We had an upgraded room and the bathroom was so small you couldn't turn around. The shower head was mounted at the wrong end of the tub (glass enclosure was at the other) so it soaked the bathroom every time you showered. The window that opened in the bathroom was nice though for fresh air. We had a pool view room and a nice patio.
The padded lounge chairs in the hotel pictures at the pool are non existent....

"Très bien reçu dans ce vignobles où nous venions fêter nos fiançailles : chambre upgradée, verres de vin à l’arrivée, personnel très agréable.
La piscine est accessible 24h/24, ce qui est très appréciable 😊
Seul reproche, le restaurant du vignoble où j’avais réservé notre dîner de fiançailles ne m’avait pas prévenu que le jeudi soir c’était soirée barbecue et nous avons donc eu une saucisse de Toulouse et des frites et un dessert pas fantastique… Une coupe de champagne nous avait tout de même...

Great to have a swimming pool but some of its rules are incomprehensible e.g., why men can only use speedo and not shorts? If it is for hygiene why swimming caps are not compulsory? Also, I would expect the hotel to provide beach umbrella for the shade, while apparently you have to bring your own for the pool. But who does that?"
"The main big disappointment and what was not clearly indicated during the booking is that the resort does not have its own beach area - you have to go to a public beach or pay for a private beach - we had to pay for towels and beach beds each day (€.5 per towel per person per day and €30 per person per day for the beach beds).
