"We were moving my mother’s belongings for her in a U-Haul, but decided to take a scenic route through the eastern Sierras and have a couple of nice stays on the way. When I pulled up in front to check in, the bell hop seemed annoyed, even condescending that we had pulled up in a U-Haul. He rather snidely informed us that there was no parking for over-sized vehicles, and then directed me to move it to their loading dock doors (the vehicle was not blocking the driveway in front of the hotel). "The location was prime! Lots of restaurants, bars and breweries within walking distance and a short drive to the mountain. We enjoyed our updated room at the Sierra House. It seems some things are still under construction as the building was very new but that didn't bother us a bit. The steam and sauna are slightly outdated but again that doesn't matter to us. We really enjoyed our stay!"

"The property is convenient to Eagle Lodge, Chair 15. We have stayed in other units at this property. However, unlike past experiences, this unit charges extra for daily housekeeping service and a separate fee for trash removal. The check-out time is 10:00am. We requested a later check-out 2 days prior to departure but the request was denied. The toiletries were supplied in small paper squeezable packets. There are better options in this price range."

"There is a list of fines for such items as leaving blinds open, not putting items in dishwasher, not setting temperature in EACH room, not taking out trash etc. We felt like we were working for the management company, not enjoying a vacation! And we paid a cleaning fee too! Won’t stay there again. "
