"Great location to catch city transit, bus was right outside the door very convenient."

"The hotel is on a flat part of Grassmarket. The Saturday outdoor market is right across the street, as is the hop- hop-off bus and at least 6 pubs and some simple eateries. Victoria street is a 3 min. walk. I loved the location. The hotel is well maintained and you can get lots of towels or tea from the cleaning staff, who are always around. If you want the hotel pub or pool, you’d have to go to the sister Apex hotel. I liked the quietness of this one. Only problem is the corridors and rooms...

"Perfection from the minute I walked in the door. Excellent location, great staff, beautiful view of the castle and good food. What more could you ask for!"

"Location was awesome. In the middle of things. Walking distance to the castle, stops of tours, restaurants, shopping. Room’s temperature was weird. The air conditioner would turn off by itself. It would have been nice to have a refrigerator in the room or some ice machines in the floor. Archie was helpful giving me tips on tours and restaurants. I was also able to do a couple of hours of early check in which was great. I would definitely return here when I return to Scotland."

"Just a one night stay while working in Kirkcaldy, had the superior single room. Due to the stormy weather I couldn’t keep the window open which made the room rather warm. Bed comfy enough, grout in the shower needs a good scrub (I am a cleaner and know what causes this!) and my carpet hadn’t been vacuumed. Other than that can’t complain for the price. Didn’t use any of the facilities so won’t comment. Would I stay here again, yes, if it was as cheap."

"Die Lage war der Hauptgrund meiner Buchung. Positiv überrascht wurde ich von der komfortablen Zimmergröße und das tolle Bad mit Badewanne und Dusche. Auch das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich würde auf alle Fälle wieder dort übernachten."

"Clean room, spacious, beautiful amenities."

"The hotel rooms are a little aged, however staff and outer property are amazing."

"I had a great stay between the 25th of October to the 28th. The staff were all lovely and welcoming. I had a quiet room on level 4 which was great and the room had everything I needed."

"The location to the Airport is great, either a walk if you feel like it, or a free shuttle bus. The staff are good and helpful, the room was clean and big enough. The restaurant food was... ok, it was well presented, cooked well, however it was VERY salty. far too much salt that instead of enhancing the taste it overtook it."
