"We could not have picked a better place to stay in this area. The view from our balcony was wonderful (overlooking the river), the home was beautifully furnished and spotless. You could feel the pride Manuel and his family has taken in managing the property. The property is full of lemon, orange and olive trees. Breakfast was perfect. "We had a comfortable room with a patio overlooking the Douro River. Staff very friendly. The only negative from our point of view was the window from the shower into the room. The botton 2/3 rds are translucent and upper 1/3 clear. If a light is turned on in bathroom bedroom is lit up as well . Also the obvious privacy issues. Other than the the room , hotel , staff, bar and restaurant are great."
