"Fabulous Apart from the quality of the surroundings, the opulence of the decor and the delicious food- a hotel is made successful by its staff. The Vermont exceeds all expectations in this area. Staff are welcoming, helpful, easy to chat with and really can’t do enough for their customers. If we’re in the Newcastle area we will always be staying here ( we’ve stayed in a few others but they don’t compare). 11/10 👍"

"The County Hotel is a beautiful hotel right across the street from the train station in Newcastle. The room was very nice, clean, large compared to many, the breakfast was excellent, and we especially appreciated the lift for someone who cannot climb stairs. I highly recommend."

"The hotel was very close to the train station and close to pubs and restaurants. Our room was lovely and clean and relatively quiet. The staff were helpful and polite. We had dinner in the bar and it was lovely. Would definitely stay here again"

"The hotel was in a great spot in Newcastle City Centre. Parking was in a car park next to the hotel and we were charged £15 for the night. The room was clean and comfortable, and the bathroom included a large walk in shower. We ate at the hotel and the food was good, with lots of choice. Our server, Laura, was great - she was really friendly but professional, a real credit to the hotel. We will definitely stay here again! "
