"What a great little place! The staff were super friendly, rooms were clean and as advertised, food was good and as a solo female traveller I felt very safe. I stayed here for a few days while attending a wedding a nearby GG Yards, and even booked to stay on for an extra night. Gatehouse of Fleet & The Ship Inn had a really nice chilled vibe, plenty of things to do locally, and a lovely spot for exploring this part of Scotland."
"The gentleman on reception was very pleasant but the hotel has seen better days. The lift was out of order so we had to haul our luggage up the stairs. The room was very run down and not very clean. It was disappointing, really."

"Helt fantastiskt! Bästa Guest House jag varit på, även om jag inte varit på jättemånga. Stora rum, otroligt rent, kändes nyrenoverat och en stor härlig skotsk frukost 😁 Sally och Ian var otroligt trevliga! Rekommenderas."
"Southpark House is a well run guest house in a fabulous location. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. The guest house is well maintained and extremely clean. Breakfast is out of this world, freshly cooked and a fantastic selection to choose from. The bedroom was immaculate, the bed was so comfortable and the en-suite was pristine. An absolute joy to stay there. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay in Dumfries and the surrounding areas."
