"We stayed in september for 3 nights in room 142 the room was not as clean as it could have been the tv you could not get any information about any of the programs but the bed was very comfortable we did not use any of the extra facilities we had a meal in the main restaurant the service was excellent as was the food"

"Beautiful hotel! Sits on a golf course - wide, open spaces. Great walks among peaceful settings. Buildings were beautiful and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant on site was excellent. Teens enjoyed the spa/pool/hot tub area.

"The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel."
"When I visit Abergavenny I always stay here. Situated right in the middle of town. The rooms are spacious. There is an excellent breakfast. I enjoy the curry in the evening at Regency 59. I'll definitely be back."
"We were not prepared for how much the beds would be slanting and difficult to sleep in. The floor of the room was very up and down, but there was no leveling platform underneath the bed, so we spent each night sleeping at a most uncomfortable angle, trying not to fall out of bed. The musician in the bar on Saturday night was directly under our room and we could not sleep until 10pm, which with jet lag was not helpful. Very friendly staff and great breakfasts, however."
"The Sloop Inn is in a convenient location to explore the area. The bedroom was small and had too much furniture; the two chairs took up all the space left in the room to move around, open a suitcase. The only power sockets were behind the bed. In order to plug in my phone and other chargers, I had to pull the bed away from the wall about 15cm in a room that was already too small. The bathroom sink light did not work. The staff were great."
