"We book the hotel and selected to be paid via Expedia to avoid the FX issue , and we received the credit card message confirming the hotel rate was charged so we assume the payment was settled. The hotel staff charge the room rate again on the credit card deposit again when we checked out , where will had to call Expedia to confirm we are not being double charged. It turns out the first payment was a credit hold, the room rate has to be paid at the hotel , and the credit hold will be release...

"Nice hotel with great views of Linyi. You can tell it use to be a 4 Star or higher hotel but it has aged and some of the upkeep is lacking. Refrigerator did not work and some lower quality details in the bathroom make it a 3 star hotel. The staff was great and I would stay there again. They don't speak English very well but my daughter speaks Mandarin so it worked out for us. Definently recommend. "
