"Nice location and a clean place to stay. But if you are planning on walking to the ancient city of Sigiriya it’s a 30 min walk from the hotel. Not a 1 min walk as advertised. The service was good but the food was at best average, specially dinner “À la carte”. Breakfast buffet had a lot of variety which was good but the food was average. Good for a short stay."

"We don’t understand why there are some medium reviews about this place; it is such a beautiful eco resort, lovely surroundings, great staff, you have a view of Sigiriya Rock from the pool, there are friendly monkeys and other sorts of beautiful animals around. The banging and the noise was ridiculous and when I went to the front desk at around 11:00 p.m. there was nobody there, no night staff. "Great hotel, lovely room and good food. This was the best value for money hotel we stayed at of the 10 we used in Sri Lanka. It was quiet, looked after and welcoming. With views of the rice fields and even eagles flying over them this place was perfect. You can cycle to the ruins in about 10 minutes and yet avoid the hustle of some other areas. Very recommended."

"Siminti was an absolutely amazing host! She was there for all our needs. We got a massage and she had a recommendation. Our safari was axong per her recommendation. She took care of our 3 year old son- always having water for him, making him great food, and being the sweetest person. The room was clean and just what we needed. If I were to return to Sigiriya, I'd stay here again. Walking distance to Sigiriya Rock and about 200 rupees by tuk tuk. "

"We only stayed for 1 night but would definitely recommend the Hotel Sigiriya and would stay here again should the opportunity present itself. Nice, clean and spacious rooms. The staff, especially at the restaurant (we had a bbq dinner buffet and breakfast buffet the next morning) were amazing. So friendly, courteous and helpful. The pool and pool views of the rock were great too! "
