"The hotel is well located and is beautiful inside. The rooms had everything we needed and the staff were really friendly. Only slight criticism would be the pool. It’s an indoor pool and doesn’t appear to be geared (or if it is, it isn’t very warm!). There were no loungers, only chairs. You couldn’t sunbathe outside in the garden as there were no loungers or chairs. It was 35 degrees (95F) and so we had planned to have an afternoon relaxing around the pool, but couldn’t."

The hotel has such a unique atmosphere, it truly feels like stepping back in time while still offering all the modern comforts you could want. The historic character is beautifully preserved, making the experience much more memorable than a typical hotel stay. "The staff was excellent and the Hotel is located within most of the popular restaurants and entertainment in the downtown area. The Hotel is being renovated right now, but is expected to be completed by August. Even with the construction going on now the Hotel was still very clean and accommodating."

"Wallace and Nancy are the most gracious hosts. The property is beautiful, you can feel your stress melt away, and while this property is very close to the best restaurants and shopping, when hanging out at the cottage it is easy to forget you are in the city, it feels like you have escaped to the countryside. We had the best breakfast in the mornings....mixed fresh fruit with creme and granola, followed by eggs benedict and for dessert gooey homemade brownie...was just one of the awesome treats...
