"We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back."

"Rooms were lovely and very clean, the area was quiet but within a busy area around a 1 minute walk away, just round the corner. Only downside was the stairs we had to walk up lots of stairs to our room each time! "

"This is a beautiful hotel. It is in a very busy, touristy area, but the hotel itself is serene and beautiful. We had an awesome stay. We loved the spa, and there was a waitress (she’s the one most often working the bar, she has long brown hair and braves) who is SO sweet. She made our whole trip with her attentiveness and kindness. We would be back if we went back to Crete. "

"Nice hotel and staff were friendly and helpful. If you have mobility issues don't pick this hotel as lots of steps up and down and their shuttle service to the beach and town is limited. I use crutches and found it a struggle to get around and felt trapped in a pretty prison. My room was spotless and serviced every day as was the hotel. "

"The initial impression of the place is deceptive; it seems nice but falls short. The door was flimsy, made of cardboard (seriously) the handle came off within 1 hour of me arriving and no one was around to ask for help, and remained broken for three days. Despite constant promises, it was only fixed after I contacted Expedia directly. The shower was both dirty and partially dysfunctional. Though the cleaning staff were friendly, the room itself lacked cleanliness. My overall opinion: don't stay...

"The place is outdated. The reception did check in by hand. There was no electronic checking in system and all were on paper. Checking in was slow. Mistake was made. The air condition was broken in the first room given to us and had to change a room. We paid tax and later got a notice to contact front desk about it. There was no record of us paid etc."

Wonderful helpful family staff who were free to offer advice, great facilities and wonderful sea water pool! easy walk to local restaurants and shops, but far enough away from town so not too busy. GREAT and would recommend for a wonderful family holiday. Thank you so much Yannis and Family! Open air museum opposite is also a fab day out!"
