"The hotel was immediately off of the highway, so really convenient to get to. It is relatively quiet, very clean and reasonably comfortable. WiFi was great and there is ample parking on site. There is a restaurant in the hotel (I did not dine there) and the drive to other options is very close. I would not hesitate to stay there again. "

"The hotel is right at the heart of the city Villach. It has a special charm as the building is historic, but all facilities and rooms are brought up to standard and met our expectations. At 8:30am in the morning you will hear the church bell (two strikes to announce the half hour) as it is custom in many of the mid-town hotels in Austria. "Kompas is a big hotel that gets bus loads of foreign tourists but nice rooms and an all you can eat breakfast buffet. It is right in Granska Gora and so it’s easy to walk around the little town. "

"Spent amazing 3 nights at the thermen resort. Reception staff was extremely helpful in providing free train service card, directions for free laundry within the hotel. Apart from the wonderful sauna and infrared cabins to use, the amazing surprise was the restaurant in the next door hotel serving avocado vegan samosas(mouthwatering). "

"Enjoyed 6 nights at the hotel. The hotel looks a bit tired from the outside and also the rooms could do with a bit of a refresh but the room and bed was comfortable. Buffet breakfast was ok - not much variety so tended to eat the same each morning but it filled you up for the day. Spa / Swimming pool was good and the staff were friendly and polite. "The hotel is in a lovely spot. We booked a room with the mountain view but enjoyed a fantastic view of the lake while eating a delicious breakfast. You could describe the room as modern classy, comfortable bed, nice lighting gadgets and a spacious shower. The staff was incredibly friendly during our check in and check out. We even got a small gift for our departure. While we did not use it, there is also a Tesla destination charger. Overall, highly recommend the hotel! "

"Stayed in Junior suite in January. Room is very nice and comfortable, bathroom quite old and not so nice. Heating in the room can not be controlled, means you depend on the management to decide what temperature is the best for you :-( Service in the restaurant can be slow some times but the food in general was good. At check in they wanted to charge me for the room that was already paid through hotels.com but the next day the issue was settled. Some receptionists were new and therefore slow but...

"It is a fantastic hotel with extremely pleasent stuff. There were some minor things to complain - like there is no kettle in the apartment to make tee or coffee. It is winter time, everyone likes tee or coffee after skiing. Also, hot tub is bad. This is also something that you would enjoy after skiing. But, everything else was great, it was Christmas amd and very charming "

The front desk clerk went above and beyond to help me find a great massage place, even calling them herself. We enjoyed our stay so much that we extended our stay for an additional night."
