"When I made my reservation, you put me in a pet room. I did not have a pet to take. Those rooms are not the greatest and they’re on the bottom floor. They were so full and busy from all the activities this weekend they could not move me. What if I had a terrible allergy to dogs. I would’ve been screwed. "Our stay at Elevation Hotel was enjoyable overall, with the biggest highlight being its convenient location. It made getting around and exploring the area incredibly easy. The property could certainly benefit from a few updates, but the staff was thoughtful in providing a fan since the rooms do not have air conditioning, and it definitely made the stay more comfortable. "Room was stylistically rustic, classic Western motel, clean. On warm summer nights, room was warm; air conditioning difficult to control. Cool morning in mid-July Gunnison were much better. Free breakfast was good, but nothing memorable. Still, any lodging that provides a small rubber duck for the tub at least has a sense of humor."
