"Beautiful property! Perfect for a large family, friends or a couple. The house is spread out for maximum privacy. The common area and outdoor space is great for making memories that will last a lifetime. The "Fountain of Youth" was enjoyed by young and old alike. "The Buccaneer is an old cattle ranch / sugar plantation converted into a beach/ golf resort. A beautiful setting. I prepaid for a room over a three day stay. At check-in, "Ben" said incidental room charges were $75 per day which would have been $225 on my debit card. I checked my account an hour later. My debit card was charged $2,000 for incidental room/ resort charges! What a shock! The room my wife and I stayed in had no hot water two days in a row ( cold showers ). Only on the third day the problem with the hot water heater was fixed. Hot water finally. The room had water stains on the ceiling that hadn't been fixed. The bathtub stopper was broken. Only showers could be taken. The tub stopper was replaced on the last evening I was there but still didn't work. The complementary breakfast was buffet style and everything was cold but the oatmeal ( cold eggs, cold bacon, cold sausage ). In my opinion, if you stay at this resort, be prepared to be over charged for everything. They say you get what you pay for. I paid a lot and got very little for my money. If I come back to St. Croix, I won't be staying at the Buccaneer to be overcharged for a room."

"What a great location with 5 star views. We practically had the entire beach to ourselves for the 5 days we stayed. The resort could use a little updating but I’m not complaining because I loved every bit of our time there. Breakfast is amazing! I’m so sad it’s going to be turning into a club med. Such a beautiful resort."
