"We’ve stayed here twice, the first time eight years ago. The first time there weee macaroons on a CV piece of black slate in the room when we arrived. Not this time. And last time there was a very big wooden door at the entrance that we liked and that was also missing. That said, those are very minor points. The staff is still very friendly and helpful. The location exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. We hope to return to Iceland in a few years and we will definitely stay here...

"We did not like the first room facing the main road and busy when we asked about a quiet room. It was not a 4 star room , basic old fashioned. Then we upgraded to a delux room and we had a balcony and modern shower facilities and felt we were in a different Hotel, very nice and handy to walk on to the harbour to catch your boat trips to watch the whales if you were lucky.
