Unfortunately not too walkable to locations we were interested (Edinburgh Castle is about a 20-25 min walk, and if you want to walk the Royal Mile, it's past that), but not a terrible inconvenience, just something to keep in mind if you'd like a hotel close to those locations. It is just off the Royal Mile, an easy walk to the castle, St Giles cathedral, the Scot Monument, Princes Street Gardens and Victoria Street. There are tons of dining options just steps away from the hotel doors. The staff was welcoming and helpful and the room was comfortable for our family of three. "
