"Clean hotel, lots of staff on reception and they are always friendly. Great selection of beers at the bar. The only negative thing is that the rooms are very hot! Thermostat default is 23c and you can only turn it up or down by +/- 3c. And it resets to default when you leave the room. Luckily the windows open."

Breakfast was ok but very busy and it was hard to find a table to sit at at peak times, even though you had to put your name down for what time you would be attending breakfast. Staff were friendly. "Charming and cosy castle with a lot of rooms to explore. There was an endless collection of antiques. Overall very clean. "

Sat in the common areas for 10 minutes to appreciate the nice decor, but as soon as peeked in to the restaurant, were seen to the door by the hotel manager, telling us to leave as they were closed. It was a grotesque situation. Unwelcoming attitude. Unapologetic. Won’t be coming back."
