"Rooms where clean and well maintained. Sadly food was poor, we ate in the restaurant on the first evening, one meal was over cooked while my lamb was very chewey. Breakfast on day 2 was poor, they said it would be cooked to order but it looked and tasted like it had come from the buffet they had just cleared from a coach party. The staff were variable some abrupt and others went through the motions but werent enjoying their jobs??!"
"room was spotless ,hotel gardens where beautiful, dinner and breakfast was amazing.reason for 3 star rating was given due to reception staff not dealing with our complaint of having no hot water when showering before dinner and was not much better the following morning."
"They never cleaned my room once and I was there for 7 days....I had to go ask for toilet paper and towels........some staff were nice others rather curt....I found the food awful only ate there 3 times that was enough for me did not like the fact you had to go up to the bar order food pay for before I sat down...........Now I have left a necklace there by mistake I have phoned my cousin in the same town and asked her to check with them in room 108 we will see if it has been had back to the...
"Front Desk and Wait Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and there was a wonderful dinner menu. We ordered starters and mains and all were exceptionally delicious!"
"A fabulous hotel that goes the extra mile to make guests feel valued and comfortable.
Extremely doggy friendly, with separate zones for guests unaccompanied by their 4 legged companions.
Direct access to the beach, Ayshire Coastland Path further enhance the experience.
I would definitely highly recommend The Waterside Hotel.
Thank you"
"Staff were all lovely and also excited to greet our toddler. Lodges were incredibly cozy, worth booking less so in the summer as heating options were available but no cooling options if it's a particularly hot season.
Hot tub was great to relax in after day trips out or if with children and dropping them off at the soft play facility (look to book a time slot in advance).
Pool and gym facilities were well kept and had good options.
A specific bit of praise to Helenann from the cafe for...
"A good, clean, well-maintained hotel. Kind and helpful staff who were professional. Room was clean and well maintained. Free car parking on-site. Good food and very substantial breakfast."
"The staff are most welcoming and helpful.
They make you feel that they really care about your experience at the hotel. If I owned an hotel I would be trying to poach them."
"A clean and quiet B&B close to Ayr beach and Pavilion, within walking distance of the town centre. The owner is helpful, just remember to let them know your approximate arrival time."
